Every feature, what it does,
and what it doesn't.
Honest list. Everything below is shipping today unless we say otherwise.
Prints, not just files.
A Print is the unit STL Stash thinks in. One model, all its parts, every variant, every support file, every scale, every reference image. When you upload a creator's drop with 14 separate files, you get one Print called “Goblin King” with everything attached, not 14 unrelated rows in a list.
Every Print has its own detail view. The file tree on one side, thumbnails and metadata on the other, your checklist and notes underneath. It's the screen you'll spend most of your time in.

STL, 3MF, and more.
Batch upload, review before commit.
Drop a folder or a thousand files. Uploads go directly to encrypted storage and don't choke your browser. The Upload Review flow shows what was detected and lets you adjust groupings, rename Prints, and review duplicates before anything finalizes. Your original filenames stay intact.
Know what's actually ready to slice.
The hardest part of a big print collection isn't finding files - it's remembering what state each Print is in.

Find anything.
Group anything.
Search runs across filenames, Print names, your notes, tags, creator names, and metadata. Tags and Collections work in parallel, so one Print can live in multiple Collections without duplicating data.
Show another printer your stuff.
Share a single Print or a whole Collection with another STL Stash user. They see thumbnails, notes, and metadata. You control who has access and you can revoke it any time.
Public sharing and creator-tier subscriber libraries are on the roadmap, with paid creator access designed to give your supporters a real library experience instead of a zip file dump.

AI that does the boring part. Not the part you care about.
The AI in STL Stash has one job: figure out which files belong together so you don't have to. It looks at filenames, file structure, and basic metadata to group related files into Prints. You always review and approve. We don't generate models, write product descriptions, or pretend to replace creator work. We don't train on your library either.
One click to your slicer.
Found the file you want? Open it directly in the slicer you already use. No more navigating through nested folders. Click the file, pick your slicer, done.
The smoothest experience comes with our local desktop agent installed, which detects your slicers and printer profiles automatically and bridges the gap for slicers that don't natively support direct browser launching. Without it, slicers like OrcaSlicer, PrusaSlicer, Cura, Lychee, and Chitubox still work with one click via direct protocol launch. For everything else, downloading the file always works.
The unsexy parts, done properly.
